Privacy policy
What Karri & Co does with the information you give us, in plain English. We collect very little and we do not sell any of it.
This policy explains how Karri & Co Building Pty Ltd (Karri & Co, ABN 12 345 678 901) handles personal information collected through karrico.com.au. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Only what you type into the site-visit form: your name, phone number, email address, the suburb the house is in, the kind of work you are considering, your rough timing, and anything you write in the message box.
Our web host records standard server information — the page requested, the time, the browser and a truncated IP address. That is used to keep the site working and is not linked back to you.
Why we collect it
- To ring you back and arrange the site visit.
- To send the written summary and, if you go ahead, the drawings, the contract and the build updates.
- To keep a record of what was quoted and agreed, which we are required to hold for the statutory warranty period.
We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send marketing unless you have asked for it.
Who else sees it
Nobody, except where a build needs it. On a live job that can mean your engineer, your certifier, your local government and the trades working on your house — and only the details they need to do their part.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We use ordinary business software (email, accounting, project scheduling) to run the company; those providers store data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for anything else.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not go anywhere are deleted after twelve months. Records attached to a build are kept for the statutory warranty period of six years from practical completion, and then destroyed.
Security
Information is held in access-controlled systems and transmitted over an encrypted connection. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. There is no analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no third-party script following you between sites.
Getting your information, or having it deleted
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@karrico.com.au or ring 0491 570 006. We respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If this policy changes, the reviewed date at the top of the page changes with it.
